The Archive

The Lucia Romualdi Archive is a non-profit cultural institution established with the aim of preserving, promoting, and disseminating the work of artist Lucia Romualdi, whose practice unfolds within an intermedial space between visual and installation art, music, and writing, in a constant dialogue between sign, sound, light, and mathematics.

The Archive collects, catalogues, and preserves the artist’s entire body of work — including paintings, installations, writings, photographs, audiovisual materials, correspondence, and previously unpublished documents — and is responsible for their certification and official archiving. At the same time, its mission is to enhance and make accessible Romualdi’s work, fostering new forms of knowledge, connection, and research around her practice and contemporary art more broadly.

The Archive is committed to being an open space for dialogue between disciplines and generations — a place where the artist’s legacy is not only preserved, but continuously reactivated through study, dissemination, and open-access research. Its aim is to bring to light the connections between Romualdi’s work and the most pressing questions of our time, engaging researchers, intellectuals, students, institutions, artists, and the wider public. At a time when cultural heritage is often at risk of being forgotten, the Archive positions itself as a form of poetic resistance: an act of care, an attentive engagement with the present, and an opening toward the future.

The Archive is accessible by appointment to scholars, intellectuals, curators, artists, students, and anyone interested in deepening their engagement with contemporary art. Selected materials are available online; for certifications, collaboration proposals, or specific inquiries, please contact the Archive through the Contact section.

The Archive is responsible for issuing certificates of authenticity, cataloguing works, and collecting, archiving, and preserving all types of publications, documents, and paper and audiovisual materials related to the artist.

If you believe you are in possession of a work by Lucia Romualdi that has not yet been registered, please contact the Archive to receive the necessary documentation to initiate the archiving procedure.

The Archive manages the moral rights and reproduction rights of Lucia Romualdi’s works.

To reproduce artworks, a formal request must be submitted via the Contact section, clearly specifying the purpose and intended use (educational, commercial, promotional, etc.)

Requests for reproduction authorization cannot be considered if the works have not been previously archived.

For advertising, merchandising, or design projects, please submit a document on official letterhead including the following information:
